Welcoming the first Australia’s Best Hybrids presented by Tough 4x4 Suspension

Head to Merimbula this November 2023 for the first-ever Australia’s Best Hybrids Showcase.

Hybrid caravans and campers are becoming more popular than ever as Aussies hit the road — or head off it — on new adventures. 

Ten of the industry’s best and most innovative will be on display at the inaugural Australia’s Best Hybrids 2024 Showcase presented by Tough Dog 4WD Suspension

The Showcase will run from 10am to 2pm, entry is free and there will be parking available onsite. 

The competition itself will run over six days, with judging taking place within the NRMA Merimbula Beach Holiday Resort and throughout the surrounding areas — so if you’re a local, be sure to keep an eye out for the teams of judges, manufacturers, photographers and videographers putting these hybrids to the test. 

While there is no complete definition of a hybrid, five typical factors have been nominated for this competition: size (compact length, width and height), weight (under 2500kg), a general focus on external living (external kitchen and fridge); construction method (lack of canvas walls); and a design focused on offroad driving (single axle and offroad suspension).
