Tidal River Campground, Wilsons Promontory

Surrounded by deep rainforest with views out to Bass Strait, this park – located in a national park – is an absolute gem. Right on the promontory, it’s a remote location, perfect as a base to enjoy scenic walks, swim, surf or just relax. You can set up your site among the tea trees, close to the shores of Norman Beach or choose one a little closer to Tidal River. There’s plenty of day walks to take in the spectacular Prom views, including the well-trodden path up to Mount Oberon.

Tarra Valley Caravan Park

One of the state’s best located parks, Tarra Valley Caravan Park is nestled in the heart of a Gippsland rainforest. Right on the gorgeous Tarra River, the park is surrounded by greenery, guaranteed to make you feel a million miles away from anywhere. Imagine waking to the serene sounds of the babbling river and elusive lyrebirds and then trying to spot a platypus or koala while strolling through towering tree ferns, ancient beech and giant mountain ash trees to see Cyathea Falls. Absolutely breath taking.

Wye River Caravan Park

Choose your spot and pull up in the gorgeous riverside valley with mountains behind you, a river beside you and the surf beach on your doorstep. One of the most picturesque spots in the state, Wye River is spitting distance to the Great Ocean Road, which will lead you to some of the region’s most remarkable coastline.
