Glen Helen, West Macdonnell Ranges
The only accommodation within the Tjoritja-West MacDonnell Ranges National Park, Glen Helen will immerse you in the 800-million-year-old landscape that has been home to the Western Aranda Aboriginal people for tens of thousands of years. Located 130km west of Alice Springs, it has breath taking views of the nearby escarpment and is close to the picturesque Glen Helen Gorge – believed by Aboriginal elders to be the birthplace of the powerful Rainbow Serpent. It’s an ideal place to soak up the culture, and marvel at the imposing sandstone walls and views of nearby Mount Sonder.

Kakadu Lodge Caravan and Camping Park

Kings Canyon Holiday Park
In the heart of Australia’s Red Centre, Kings Canyon is an absolute wonder, located halfway between Alice Springs and Uluru. Forged over 400 million years, layers of sandstone are nothing short of spectacular, soaring neatly 300 metres above sea level. Make the iconic six-kilometre hike to the top of Kings Canyon and take in the simply magical 360-degree views of Watarrka National Park.
