A sketch in the sand and a conversation around the campfire on Queensland’s Stradbroke Island in 2013 sparked the concept for a never seen before style of camper trailer. At that moment, Patriot Campers was born.
His passion for the great outdoors inspired Patriot Campers Founder and Director, Justin Montesalvo, to tap into the camper trailer industry, creating innovative products for adventurers and travellers to experience Australia; whether it be a weekend get-away or for an extended tour off-the-beaten track.
From a 250 square metre rented factory floor, to a manufacturing and assembly plant on the Gold Coast that employs more than 100 Queenslanders, Patriot Campers has become a market leader in the camper trailer industry with a distribution network spanning across Australia, Mongolia and the USA.

Patriot designs its camper trailers based on customers’ needs. For example, when designing the kitchen compartments, it took common kitchen items (bread, salt shakers, spices, jars, eggs, plates etc) and made sure there was a compartment to suit everything. Everything has its place.
“When you design something to genuinely fix a problem you’re having, you are way more likely to succeed,” Mr Montesalvo said.

All Patriot Camper models are designed to go off road and stay off road – the more remote the location, the better. The Patriot Campers X-Range has up to 155 litres of water capacity, depending on the model. Coupled that with the Power Management unit, you’ve got unmatched solidarity completely off the grid.
When it comes to solar, the X1-H comes standard with a fixed 120 watt Redarc solar panel and the X3 can be optioned up to fit a removable120 watt Redarc solar panel.
All the trailers in the X-Range and Toy Hauler models (except the TT730) have the ability add solar blankets as accessories (160W, 240W and 300W) which is handy when camping off grid.
The average dry tare weight of Patriot campers is under one tonne. All Patriot Campers come with a five-year limited warranty on the chassis and structural components from the date of manufacture, so you can be sure that your camper trailer is built to last in harsh Australian conditions.
