Your van has some appliances that need a bit of housekeeping just like a regular home, including light globes in a rangehood.
Your van has some appliances that need a bit of housekeeping just like a regular home, including light globes in a rangehood.
You may need to change the light in your rangehood because it has failed, or you may choose to upgrade your functioning light from halogen to LED to reduce electricity consumption and help save the planet! According to Sustainability Victoria a 12V LED light can be up to 75 per cent more energy efficient than a 12V halogen light.
The steps to change over the globe are pretty simple. The only part we found a bit tricky was putting the retaining spring back in place which just took a bit of patience.
Step 1
Remove the fasteners holding the rangehood cover in place
Step 2
Lower the rangehood cover
Step 3
Unplug the light from the wiring
Step 4
Compress the retaining spring to release the light globe
Step 5
Remove the light globe
Step 6
Select a replacement globe. Install and reassemble in reverse order to above.
