K9 Vans - the Leader of the Pack

We sat down with Steve van Schagen from K9 Vans to hear about his fleet of unique canine-inspired vans.

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself and the K9 team

Steve: I’ve done 16 years on the road travelling Australia. This shed great volumes on what the public really wants and what they really were saying about the industry. I have always been a front runner. My new K9 range will stagger everyone who takes the time to look and compare.

K9 was conceived to provide the community with a top-class, luxury, full off-road hybrid camper. Design motivation has come from 25 years in the industry and listening to tens of thousands of complaints about manufacture, design and basic product being delivered after having been sold "the best you can buy". K9 delivers.

K9 stands for canine of course. Our campaign revolves around the beast with models which range from the small Jackal 11', Coyote 13', Dingo 16', Redfox 16', and Wolf 18'. The Pack, as it is called, is dominant in creativity, looks, design, perspective and coloration. The pack will run wild but beware when you spot the leader Wolf because the others won't be far behind.

Q: What advice would you give a first-time buyer?

SteveAsk the question above of the salesperson who is advising you. Most salesmen don’t even own a van let alone go out camping in one. BEWARE of this person, change course and head for someone who knows, like us at K9.

With the desire to downsize from the penthouse, a K9 will certainly fit the build. They are lightweight, quick, easily towed and spectacular to look at.

K9 vans are located at the Bribie Island interchange Caboolture on the M1. We are easily found, opposite the Sundowner Tavern, a local landmark hereabouts.

Q: Is there a significant demand for K9 caravans at the moment?

SteveWith our orders already reaching critical demand, we have curtailed the over-sell and are concentrating on high quality. Our IOS and QMS both demand this. By adopting this policy as we have done in the past, our clientele is on our side. In 25 years of business, until the past six months we have never had a serious complaint which could not be resolved amicably.

Q: What is your warranty policy?

SteveAll components in our range of campers are Australian Design Rules (ADR) compliant. They are directly sourced from the manufacturers to keep costs at a minimum, which reduces the risk of storage damages and having to use products that are replaced with new design and practicality. Electrical appliances all have a full six-year warranty. This surpasses any other warranty provided by other caravan manufacturers.

All vans in the range are fitted with air-conditioning, refrigeration, water heating, skylights, double-glazed windows, state-of-the-art electronic control system, best you can buy towing hitch, six-stud mags with all-terrain tyres. Best of all, we are so confident of our hybrids that we offer a full six-year manufacturer warranty.

Q: Are K9 vans suitable for all Australian conditions? What’s special about them that makes them so?

SteveThey are both rugged, tough and go anywhere, yet luxurious top end products, comfortable and worry-free.

Q: What are your top three tips for enjoying your product the most?

SteveEnjoy it, enjoy it, enjoy it! Beware of reports from others who complain about warranties not being honored. K9 doesn’t have this issue as they come with a full six-year warranty underwritten by Lloyds of London. K9 Vans are taking advice from the automotive car industry, and you know that warranties with new cars are foolproof.
